Abstract

According to publications made in Russia, the most mature Russian technologies of chemical demilitarization are:

  • three-stage chemical detoxification technology (draining of chemical munitions, chemical detoxification, incineration of liquid wastes and munitions body thermal degasification) [1];

  • technology for liquid agents incineration using liquid propellent rocket engines as high-temperature chemical jet reactors [2];

  • technology for liquid agents incineration using a pulse gas-cycle compression reactor on the base of a piston diesel engine [3].

From publications made abroad, the following developments stand out:

  • technology for gas-flame incineration of liquid agent [4];

  • technology for agent destruction in molten salt [5];

  • cryofracture technology [6].
