Research on crop loss assessment in the United Kingdom (UK) forms part of an integrated research programme to evaluate the impact of air pollution on the natural and man-made environment. The programme is designed to identify critical target areas and provide guidance to policy makers on future pollution control options in terms of both benefits and costs.
