Abstract

The development of polymer blends prepared from rigid-rod or semiflexible polmyers with coil-shaped polymers is a way which might lead to self-reinforcing polymer systems. The mixing behaviour, thermic properties and studies on behaviour of ternary systems with a solvent were studied with the thermotropic copolyester from p-hydroxibenzoic acid and poly(ethyleneterephthalate) and with poly(bisphenol A-car- bonate).
