High Temperature Sulphidation of Aluminized Alloys: Protective Properties of Alumina Layers

  • Chapter
High Temperature Alloys

Abstract

All the results available in the literature show tha t, at the present time, it is very difficult or practically impossible to imagine alloys with a sufficient corrosion resistance in high sulphur and low oxygen activity atmospheres. Aprotection is necessary to avoid catastrophic corrosion.
