Abstract
The following is a true story about affective responses to odour. A newly wed couple had checked into an hotel the evening before. In the morning the smell of bacon drifted into their room from the kitchen below. She had grown up in a kosher home and woke up feeling sick, but he who was from a different religious background woke up hungry, urging her ‘let’s go for breakfast’.
