Abstract

Information on atomic scale magnetism has proved to be very valuable for the C.E.A.M. project. A better understanding of the local magnetic moments, exchange interactions and their contribution to the magnetic performance of known materials such as Nd2Fe14B, as well as other new phases, was very helpful in explaining experimental data and developing new theories.
