Abstract
In this paper, a new kind of GRP pipe with a polymer concrete core, named a GRPPC pipe, is designed and the manufacturing process is concisely described as well Based on various contrasting analytical methods for the buried pipes, we adopt one of them for GRPPC pipes. The stresses of the joints are analysed with FEM. Two types of tests are carried out. The properties of the composed material are measured for pipe design. The structural performance is tested and the results prove the reliability of the adopted method of design. The cost of the new pipe is reasonable and acceptable.
