Abstract

Histologic classification of malignant lymphomas has been dramatically influenced by the application of immunological techniques for the characterization of neoplastic cells (1,3, 12, 22, 23, 40, 41, 45, 61). Large neoplastic cells were interpreted as reticulum cells or histiocytes on the basis of histologic examinations several years ago, but these cells are now considered to be transformed lymphocytes by cell culture study and other cytologic experiments.
