Abstract

The theory of twisted discs and its application is briefly reviewed. Such twisted discs are probably quite common, though their current observational relevance is limited to explaining long term periodicities in High Mass X-Ray binaries, the eclipse dip in ∈ Aur, and perhaps the S-shapes of jets of radio galaxies.
