Abstract

Certain aspects of the methodology and technique of the determination, evaluation and utilization of optical isodynes have already been described in the previous publications of the first co-author and his co-workers [8, 13, 16]. However, the picture presented in these publications is incomplete, partially inconsistent, and partially obsolete. The reason for it is that each new result was opening new horizons and, consequently, forcing generalizations of the developing frame of reference. It appears at the present time that the major features of the concept and consequences of the elastic and optical isodynes already have been developed; this made it possible to design the experiments and related instrumentation in a manner compatible with the underlying theory.
