Abstract
The practical determination of any reference frame is a question of accuracy. If there were no errors present in the coordinates of the objects computed from a given reference system, then the corresponding reference frame would be perfectly determined. In reality, however, a reference frame cannot be uniquely specified; it is determined in a somewhat arbitrary manner — implied by some sort of weighted average of coordinates derived from the system. Furthermore, if the errors in the coordinates are time-dependent, so will the determination be time-dependent.
