Adhesive Bonding of Plastics with Special Emphasis to Stress Cracking

  • Chapter
Adhesion 14

Abstract

In the past decades plastics have increased their value, originally being used as commodity products, now being more and more applied for high value applications, e.g. by use of engineering plastics or composites. In this respect the consumer products market as well as the applications in the car industry can be mentioned [1–6]. With this increase in application also the need of bonding of plastics is becoming more and more important.
