Abstract
Yttria stabilized zirconia (YSZ) crystals were grown on seed crystals under hydrothermal conditions. Using 30 wt% solution of NaOH, one of the best mineralizers, an epitaxial deposition of YSZ 10 µm thick was attained at 700°C with ΔT = 10°C under 140 MPa for 24 h.
