The 3.3 µm Feature, H2, and Ionized Gas in the Orion Bar

Abstract

We present observations of the spatial distribution of the 3.3 µm feature, H2 emission, and ionized gas in the Orion Bar. The Orion Bar is an ionization front 2′ SE of θ 1C Ori, the star which ionizes the Orion Nebula. We also present results on the 3.3 µm feature width in the Orion Bar. Our results are presented in more detail in Sellgren, Tokunaga, and Nakada (1990).
