Summary

Reported in this paper are details of a technique used to extend a power station performance model to allow its application to the fitting of parameters to measured plant data. The original Newtonian iteration scheme is generalised to least squares by use of Lagrange multipliers, and a method which defines the accuracy of the fitted parameters is indicated.
