Abstract
The contributions of rhizosphere processes to Mn solubilization was evaluated in a rhizobox system. The results indicate that soil pH changed remarkably across the rhizosphere. Rhizosphere processes are responsible for the solubilization of Mn and Fe compounds in soil. Apparently, soybean has a greater ability than barley to solubilize soil Mn.
