Abstract
Arendt (1989) found several high confidence associations of IR emission (IRAS) with supernova remnants (SNR), and the dust seems to trace the radio synchrotron emission in many cases. Whereas the dust temperature and magnetic field strength associated with young remnants are relatively high, we find that the older remnants are usually associated with colder dust and lower field strengths (Dwek & Arendt 1992; Reynolds & Ellison 1992).
