Abstract

In recent years, the use of large-eddy simulation (LES) models to produce turĀbulence datasets describing the atmospheric boundary layer under a wide range of conditions has become increasingly popular. These datasets can then be used, in conjunction with data from other sources (e.g. observations and physical models) to evaluate turbulence closure schemes.
