Abstract

A few decades of cancer chemotherapy practice [41] have shown that it can, alone or combined to other means of tumor treatments (surgery and radiotherapy), cure a remarkable proportion of malignant neoplasias in children (osteosarcoma, neuroblastoma under one year of age, rhabdomyosarcoma, Wilm’s tumor, acute lymphoid leukemia) and in young adults (testis seminoma, teratocarcinoma and embryocarcinoma) [138], while it only contributes a little, if at all, [278,43,145,139] to the cure of adults older than 40 years.
