Known applications of RTM processing

Abstract

The use of RTM as a processing technique for advanced composites is relatively recent. A listing of applications such as that given below is thus inevitably going to be incomplete due to the pace of developments. Despite this it is thought to be worthwhile to attempt to indicate the breadth of applications explored to date. RTM is one of the few composites processing techniques used for both high-performance aerospace applications and larger volume industrial applications. For this reason both sorts of application are noted below. The absence of any particular product type should not be taken as being indicative of the unsuitability of RTM in that case; merely that to my limited knowledge it has not yet been explored.
