Abstract

The final chapter discuss the future of fluorescence microscopy for application ranging from medicine to optical spectroscopy. Specifically, more emphasis is given to emerging scanning systems, multicolor imaging and single photon detectors. Emerging techniques dedicating to super-resolution imaging is discussed. We discuss the development of high-throughput imaging systems and miniaturization of imaging device for facilitating onsite diagnostics, health-care, Biophysical research and space applications.
