Abstract
Angiogenesis regulation is a function of pro-angiogenesis and anti-angiogenesis factors and processes. These include growth factors, cell surface receptors for these factors on blood vessel cells, modulatory crosstalk between growth factor receptors and other cell surface proteins such as integrin αvβ3, and transduction of growth factor signals into a modified angiogenesis process. In this chapter we consider areas of blood vessel growth control in which we can expect new information in the near future.
