Abstract

Quaternary molluskan faunas, specially the Holocene ones, are relatively abundant along the eastern coast of the Southern South American continent and have been studied with different scopes by Feruglio (1933, 1950), Aguirre and Whatley (1995), Forti-Esteves (1974), Martínez et al. (2001, 2006), De Souza et al. (2010) and Aguirre et al. (2011) (and references therein). In this chapter the distribution of the molluskan assemblages is analyzed.
