Abstract
This chapter explores a systems- and performance-based design approach through the analysis of two projects—the Lower Don Lands and the Papago Trail—by Stoss Landscape Urbanism. Both designs operate on disturbed sites to bolster ecological, economic and social activity. The focus is on function and adaptability over time.
