Abstract

This paper presents design and implementation of an email encryption system using certificateless public key encryption (CL-PKE) scheme. We compare six certificateless public key encryption schemes in the literature and select one of the efficient and secure CL-PKE scheme to be implemented. The email encryption system that implemented in J2SE platform consists of a graphical user interface that supports basic operations such as encryption, decryption, sending and receiving encrypted messages. The performance for each algorithm and message encryption/decryption is also evaluated.
