The introduction provides the reader with the essential background information embedding the subject of self-regulation of drug cultures and the empirical study presented in the book, respectively. The introduction encompasses a synopsis of the whole book, the forerun of the study including its preparations and an overview of the distinct parts and chapters of the book.
