Abstract
Cancer is the most common cause of death worldwide. Several dietary supplements have been found to be potential for cancer prevention. Anti-inflammatory, apoptotic, cell growth inhibitory role of fish oil and its bioactive forms (EPA & DHA) have been studied extensively. Synergistic effect of fish oil has been established with several other chemopreventive agents. A voluminous number of clinical trials and epidemiological study was performed which supports for its beneficiary role.
