Abstract
The last part of this book is a comprehensive summary of the presented material. It contains a short introduction into the topic and motivates why it has been necessary to present a mechatronic approach to adaptive feed-forward control of low frequency interior noise (Part I). This approach is based on the description of the basic acoustic system as well as on a discussion of sensors, actuators and active control strategies (Part II). It also includes comments on tools that can be used for ANC-system design and proposes an ANC-system design methodology (Part III). The latter has been explained considering examples of applied research (Part IV). Having gone through this summary, the reader is familiar with the main findings presented in this work.
