Abstract

In this chapter, we describe the status of GIS in the secondary schools of Taiwan. We introduce the history of GIS in senior high schools, demonstrate a success story of GIS education, and discuss the future issues. The chapter concludes that the seed of GIS has taken root in the geography discipline of senior high schools.
