Abstract

The Republic of Kazakhstan is a country that widely represents all types of nuclear related cases. Those are nuclear explosions for both military and peaceful purposes as well as uranium mining and processing. It is quite natural that all that activities, taking into consideration the tragic events of the last century (Hiroshima-Nagasaki, Chernobyl and other accidents), resulted in considerable public circumspection and concern about, first of all, Semipalatinsk Nuclear Test Site (SNTS). These concerns are obviously exaggerated and is of biased nature. The society fell in radiophobia. Psychological normalization of the society is a quite complicated and long-time matter and some improvement can be achieved only on the basis of unbiased investigation of the current situation and availability of these results to vide public via all mass media resources.
