Abstract
Ergonomics is applied to car body design with the aim of reducing the effort required by the driver and passengers in the different conditions particularly as regards driving the vehicle. The important role of ergonomics in the safety of the vehicle justifies the presence of regulations concerning related issues in different countries: Indeed some are enforced by law, such as those concerning the assessment of direct and indirect visibility in Europe.
