Abstract
The atmosphere is a dynamic system where a large number of physical and chemical processes occur simultaneously. A comprehensive study of the atmosphere’s dynamics and transport of pollutants is presented with the use of atmospheric models. In Chapter 7 the dispersion equations for pollutant transport in the Euler and Lagrange coordinating systems are examined. In particular we examine the model of a single volume. The emissions of atmospheric pollutants are also examined from a variety of sources including anthropogenic and biogenic sources. A specific methodology for the calculation of gaseous and particulate matter emissions is presented together with examples and applications.
