Abstract
On the occasion of Prof. Seshadri’s 70th birthday, it is my privilege to be able to talk about his influence on teaching and research in Computer Science in India. I have been in close contact with Prof. C.S. Seshadri for about fifteen years now: five years as a Ph.D. student at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSc) and Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI) and over ten years as a member of the Computer Science faculty at CMI. I have thus interacted with him both as a student and as a colleague.
