Abstract
This chapter analyzes the economic benefits of precision crop protection based on experimental data for site-specific application of herbicides in winter cereals, maize and sugar beets in Western Europe. Despite of additional costs for weed sensing and application technology, site-specific weed control resulted in higher economic return compared to conventional uniform applications even over periods of several years.
