This figure provides the framework for biostratigraphy developed in subsequent volumes of this Yushe series, and the YS fossil localities are plotted next to the composite lithological column. On the right, selected historical localities are located, some approximately indicated by a vertical range based on field evidence and statements by surviving relatives of the “dragon-bone hunters”. These localities include results of IVPP fieldwork of the 1950s, Licent quarries (L), and collections made for Childs Frick (F; 1932-37). The two parts of the figure overlap and are reproduced at a size large enough to resolve locations of stratigraphic levels
