Abstract
Abalone is one of the important fishing resources in Japan. Fishing of abalone has been decreasing annually continuously. We have tried a new type of artificial reef and habitat, made in concrete, for abalones. Experiments and observations by divers have been done in Taneshima, a Japanese island on the coasts of Kyu-Shu.
