Abstract

Scientific insight alone is disabled as a long-term basis and motivation for ethical behavior. We live and make decisions as much from the soul as from reason. Water is practically “a culturally universal symbol.” It stands not only for biological but also for spiritual existence. Toward this goal, the behavior toward water must be regarded as a socioeconomic, ethical, and environmental challenge that concerns not only institutions but also the society as a whole.
