Abstract

Easy to spot at radio wavelengths, neutron stars are harder to detect in X rays, and even harder at optical wavelengths. Notwithstanding the detection challenge, the study of neutron stars’ optical emission is an important tool to secure their identification and to understand the emission mechanisms at work.
