Abstract
Exact analytical expressions for the entire phonon spectra in single walled carbon nanotubes with achiral geometries are presented by using an approach, which mainly includes the construction of classical lattice Hamiltonian of single walled carbon nanotubes, then its quantization and finally diagonalization of the resulting second quantized Hamiltonian. Furthermore, within this context, analytical formulas for the relevant electron—phonon interaction coefficients are also obtained for single walled carbon nanotubes having these geometries, by the phonon modulation of the hopping interaction.
