Abstract
Chapter 2 deals with some relations, necessary only for grid generation, connected with and derived from the metric tensors of coordinate transformations. As an example of an application of these relations, the chapter presents a technique aimed at obtaining conservation-law equations in new fixed or time-dependent coordinates.
