Abstract
I was a junior and senior at Forest Hills from 1943 to 1945. Those were the school’s heydays (as they still might be). It was the last New York City high school opened before the United States entered World War II, and, according to the tradition of those days, faculty could choose where they wanted to teach. And, indeed, a great faculty gathered at Forest Hills.
