Abstract

In the Odyssey 4.39–42, Telemachus, Odysseus’s son, travels to Sparta in search of information about his father from king Menelaus. Telemachus traveled in his chariot, which, upon arrival, the servants leaned against the wall. This event is accounted for within a single verse (Od. 4.42).
