In this chapter we will revisit some of the mechanics models for elastic and inelastic behavior studied previously, when placed within a geometrically nonlinear framework. In other words, we will study the motion of a deformable solid body submitted to large displacements, large rotations and large deformations, which will no longer allow to ignore the difference between the initial configuration at the beginning of a given loading program and the deformed configuration at the end.
