Samenvatting
Hoofdstuk 1 vormt de inleiding van het boek over peesaandoeningen. Dit hoofdstuk bevat de meest relevante basiskennis met betrekking tot pezen en peesaandoeningen. De bouw van een pees wordt beschreven en geïllustreerd. Daarna volgt een overzicht van de meest voorkomende aandoeningen die een pees kunnen treffen: de traumatische tendinitis, de ruptuur, de tendinitis door overbelasting, de tendinitis calcarea, auto-immuun tendinitiden, tendinose, enthesitis, apofysitis, het frictiesyndroom, de peesschedeontsteking en de peesluxatie.
