Samenvatting

Pijn rond de achillespees en calcaneus kan allerlei oorzaken hebben. Het is niet altijd gemakkelijk, maar het is wel belangrijk de juiste diagnose te stellen. Dit hoofdstuk geeft een overzicht van aandoeningen die kunnen voorkomen rond de achillespees en de calcaneus. Van iedere aandoening worden de symptomen en behandeling besproken. Aan bod komen de mid-portion achillespeestendinose, de inflammatoire en niet-inflammatoire insertietendopathie, slijmbeursontstekingen rond de achillespeesinsertie, de Haglundse exostose en de apofysitis calcanei.
