Samenvatting
In relaties van mensen met een antisociale gedragsstijl komt relatief vaak huiselijk geweld en ander grensoverschrijdend gedrag voor. Huiselijk geweld kan deel uitmaken van verschillende relatiedynamieken. De relatiedynamiek wordt bepaald door de specifieke kenmerken van beide partners. Belangrijke kenmerken waarop mensen met antisociaal gedrag van elkaar kunnen verschillen zijn de ernst van het geweld dat ze gebruiken, de mate waarin het geweld gegeneraliseerd is en de ernst van psychiatrische en verslavingsproblematiek. Bij partners is het van belang of sprake is van psychische problematiek en de aard ervan. Er kan een duidelijke slachtoffer-daderrolverdeling zijn, maar het kan zijn dat beide partners dader en slachtoffer tegelijk zijn. De verschillende relatiedynamieken die uit deze combinaties voortkomen, brengen ieder hun specifieke problemen, risico’s en dilemma’s met zich mee. Ze vragen daarom ieder om hun eigen benadering. Aan de hand van voorbeelden demonstreren we deze benaderingen en bijbehorende interventies.
