Samenvatting

In dit hoofdstuk wordt ingegaan op het voedingsbeleid bij acute pancreatitis, chronische pancreatitis en het pancreascarcinoom. Respectievelijk worden de anatomie, fysiologie, pathologie, epidemiologie, etiologie, klinische verschijnselen en diagnostiek, prognose en complicaties, medische behandeling en uiteraard het te volgen voedingsbeleid besproken. De afgelopen jaren is er veel wetenschappelijk onderzoek verricht naar het voedingsbeleid bij pancreatitis en het pancreascarcinoom, waardoor er nieuwe inzichten zijn gekomen in het voedingsbeleid. De huidige voedingsadviezen zijn steeds meer evidence-based. Vooral het eerdere principe van pancreasrust is verlaten. Dit hoofdstuk is gebaseerd op de meest recente wetenschappelijke literatuur.
