Dit hoofdstuk beschrijft ongewenste ontwikkelingen in de ggz, opgetreden als ongepland gevolg van een onvoorziene systeemdynamiek die zich ontrolde sinds de introductie van marktwerking in de zorg. Daarnaast wordt onderzocht waarom veel psychiaters en andere behandelaars daar de afgelopen jaren onbedoeld enthousiast aan hebben meegewerkt. De patiƫnt is de dupe.
