Samenvatting

Nederland heeft al jaren “het beste gezondheidszorgsysteem van Europa” en eindigt opnieuw op nummer één van de ‘European Health Consumer Index 2016’ [1]. We kunnen veel in zorg en de beloftes voor de toekomst – nieuwe medicijnen, nieuwe technieken – zijn nog groter. De prijs evenwel is hoog. Dokters klagen over ‘beroepszeer’ door bureaucratie en marktwerking en raken meer dan gemiddeld burn-out.
