Samenvatting

Emotieregulatie speelt een grote en diepgaande rol in ons leven, maar hoe we dat doen krijgt over het algemeen weinig aandacht in het publieke debat. Dat is eigenlijk vreemd in een tijd dat columnisten, sociologen en ingezondenbrievenschrijvers te hoop lopen tegen het gebrek aan beheersing en het ongebreidelde vertoon in de publieke ruimte van emoties door veel Nederlanders, ‘omdat ik dat nu eenmaal zo voel’.
